Hey! As you can see from my backlog project Google sheet, I’m juggling a lot of games right now – maybe too many. That’s the problem about liking games, isn’t it?
Still, I want to keep the blog active, so here are a few updates on what I’ve been playing!
Playing with my Roommate
While she is usually only into mobile games and casual games like Genshin Impact, we do occasionally play things together. Since she likes mysteries and reading, we tried out Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective and she liked it! I am no stranger to visual novels, already having reviewed one in this blog’s as of now short history, and while I enjoyed the hour or so we played it, this does mean progress is going to be slow because we are still in the process of moving together. We are also playing Hollow Knight (which I have played before) and Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated (I played the original when I was little), so those might all have individual reviews at some point!
The Mageseeker isn’t clicking (yet)
I’m struggling to enjoy The Mageseeker. It feels repetitive, and the story isn’t grabbing me, though I can’t pinpoint exactly why. That said, I haven’t fully given up on it—I’ll give it a couple more tries before deciding whether to drop it.
Since my backlog project is about giving games a fair shot rather than forcing myself to finish everything, I’m not too concerned if I don’t see this one through.
Sonic bender
This made me push Sonic Frontiers into being played a bit earlier than it should have, pushing a couple of other games, but it also means that I started playing Sonic Heroes – which I might also review later down the line. I have not played it in more or less 15 years, but I’m actually having a good time with it, despite its flaws!
What do you think? Should I be playing other games instead? Also, any recommendations for games to play with my roommate? Let me know in the comments below!
